RICARDO ROJAS GAONA
Managing Partner. A lawyer
graduated from Universidad de Los Andes (ULA, Venezuela, 1984),
Intellectual Property Specialist from Universitat Degli Studio Di Torino
(Italy, 2001), and a Specialist in the same area from Universidad de Los
Andes, where he obtained a special mention for his graduation paper
entitled “Implications of having a well-known status in the face of
domain names” (Venezuela, 1996). Scholarship holder from the World
Intellectual Property Organization (Switzerland, 2000/2001). Worked for
several years as Legal Manager of the Intellectual Property Department
of an important International Law Firm before coming to work for the
firm. Also, rendered services for the trademark, patent and legal
services departments of Servicio Autónomo de la Propiedad Intelectual (SAPI),
Venezuela’s agency in charge of supervising Intellectual Property rights
in Venezuela. Worked as legal counsel to PDVSA-INTEVEP, S.A., the
Research and Development Center of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A.
Outside advisor to important domestic and international companies.
Author of various articles for journals specializing in the area of
Intellectual Property, and an active participant as speaker in his area
of expertise.
Holder of distinctions from the World International Property
Organization (WIPO-Geneva), Servicio Autónomo de la Propiedad
Intelectual (SAPI-Venezuela), ULA (Venezuela).
Law practice in: Intellectual Property, Mercantile, Civil,
Administrative, Negotiation, Unfair Competition and litigation.
Languages: Spanish and English.
